Prayer Request!

Claire and I have tentatively planned to move to Guatemala around June 1st. This will give Claire an opportunity to study Spanish for 6 weeks. We've been told that she should become fluent in that time. I know it will be a life changing event for her. I have to say that I feel very honored that she would leave during her pre-8th grade summer to move to Latin America with her momma and AnnaMaria.

I HOPE we can all come home by mid-July, but PGN is completely unpredictable. We have heard some positive rumors, so we are very trusting that things will move quickly. We've also heard of cases that have been in PGN for many months.

The kicker is...once I go down to "foster," I can't come home. Antigua is going to be a wonderful place to stay, but only for so long! PLEASE pray with me that our case will move swiftly through PGN and that we will enjoy our time in Guatemala without too much homesickness.

We will most likely get a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen and living room. If you'd like to visit, get your passport and come on down! There are "adoption places" where you can rent a bedroom & bath, but share kitchen and living spaces with other fostering families. The price is about the same as an apartment. I don't think I would do well with communal living for long!

Please remember Jeff, Ollie & Lily as well. They plan to visit us, but will mostly be keeping things together in KY, INCLUDING...moving into our new home sometime in June!

I should have excellent internet availability, so I can continue to work and handle some of the family obligations. However, I know it will be a big burden for Jeff to be a single parent plus run the business alone. Not to mention selling a house and moving.

Thanks for your friendship, love, and support. So many of you ask about AnnaMaria and I can't possibly tell you how much your genuine interest means to us. She really is an amazingly sweet little baby girl and we can't wait for you to meet her!
