I took AnnaMaria to Guatemala City on Tuesday, July 10th for her passport photo. Raul, one of our attorneys met us there. We had never seen each other and he doesn’t speak any English, so it was interesting!
There were lots of babies there with their foster mothers. The process was very easy, but with travel and waiting the whole experience took about 4 hours. AnnaMaria had digital fingerprints taken and a photo. Raul stayed to pick up the photo, so he can submit it to the US Embassy.
Our file is to be submitted today, July 11 to the Embassy for our “pink”. We will receive a pink sheet of paper with the date of our Embassy appointment. I think the appointments are being scheduled 2-3 weeks in the future, but I’m hopeful we can get ours moved up. It’s truly lovely here, but we’re ready to get home!
