Today’s Favorite Friday Foto theme is “Then and Now”. Wow! AnnaMaria has come a long way!
For those of you new to our blog…we decided to adopt a baby girl and name her
AnnaMaria Rose. AnnaMaria was a character from Pirates of the Carribean (big sisters’ pick) and Rose was a Great Grandma middle name. So….when we saw Maria Rosario pop up on the agency web in late October ‘06, we knew it was a sign. Her photo was rather far away, so it was 
hard to see her well. We really never dreamed she’d still be waiting when we were ready for a referral in January ’07. But, as Claire says, “God was saving her for us!” Her legal name is now...AnnaMaria Rosario. And...today we got her KY record of birth!She looks so tiny in these photos. She was 5lbs 5 oz at birth. She has been 80% on the US growth charts since we’ve been home (go figure!). We also noticed in the early photos that she had a droopy eye. That didn’t bother us and is actually a pretty regular trait in the women in our family. But, when we asked, it seemed to make everyone in Guatemala nervous. Anyway, it has completely gone away. Now….she has discovered stardom and loves to smile for the camera. Note the gash over her eye…I’ll just say, it wasn’t Mom’s fault. (Smile) And of course, brother's undies are always a good head-dress.

AnnaMaria is SO beautiful. Her smile could light up any room. I LOVE the undie photo!! You most definetly need to keep up with that one. Can you imagine her going to the prom one day and dragging out that photo to show. I know I'm aging her..sorry.
