Gotcha Day! Good Normal Summer Day

In adoption lingo, today is Gotcha Day. One year ago today, we met Dona Aura and Sonia with AnnaMaria at the Marriott in Guatemala City. AnnaMaria hasn’t been away from our family since!

Today was the first day we experienced summer break as a family on the farm. It has really been a great day. Claire cooked lunch, Ollie mowed and Lily played baby dolls with AnnaMaria. We even met a new neighbor. Little Bit has really become interested in her baby. They stroll, shop and snuggle. Too cute!

There is so much I miss about Guatemala, but I’m realizing what I missed in KY last summer. It is such a blessing to be together! We are creating a new “normal” and it’s nice to do that as a team.

Stay tuned…vehicle purchase is in the works, but I contend we have to get a good deal so I can get a new camera!

Okay - small world - in blogland...
My friends were in China picking up their son, Van last week. They were traveling with (apparently) your friends? Let's play "what's the connection - how do you know Bai Li!?!

And Happy gotcha Day - I miss Guatemala, too (our pick up day is June 14, Homecoming day July 4th)
