Graduation revisited

During the last week of school, Claire and Ollie had Kindergarten Day. They dressed as they might have in Kindergarten, took lunch bags and boxes and something for show and tell. This was quite easy for Ollie. He’s worn the same “uniform” throughout school…tan bottoms and a striped t-shirt. I dug through the old photos and found some of their first day of Kindergarten way back in the 90’s (gasp). Note how Claire is looking at Ollie out of the corner of her eye in both photos! Lily got all dressed up for the first day of school too, but didn’t get to go. She REALLY wanted to ride the bus; she wished it could just take her to Chuck-E-Cheese. Graduation Gifts!

Jeff is taking Ollie to Nebraska to hunt prairie dogs. I think this involves a new rifle too. Apparently prairie dogs are a big nuisance there…but they are so cute! Run doggies, run!

Claire is out of town at a Christian Concert weekend and doesn’t have her graduation gift yet, but she is shopping for a scooter!

We are not big gift givers with our kids, so they are very excited. Claire said with such a nice gift in 8th grade, she is looking forward to HS graduation. I quickly explained that’s called COLLEGE TUITION!
