Trunk or Treat 2008

Our first ever trunk or treat at church was big fun. Everyone decorates their trunk and gives out candy to trick-or-treaters as they walk through the parking lot. Our entry was thrown together at the last minute, but it turned out pretty cute and we won first place! $20 movie bucks!

Claire's friend Jessica was Little Red Riding hood, Jessica's brother Christopher was Lumber Jack and Claire was the Granny. We took the twin sized air mattress to make Granny a bed and Jeff's coyote hide for the wolf. Sadly, I don't think a lot of little kids know that story.

I'm short on time, so I didn't do a great job of cropping these photos....but here goes:

Granny's night stand w/ Milk and cookies (the remaining cookies from the batch were a hit too).

Lumber Jack, Granny & Little Red.
Claire is wearing a dress that was my Grandma Dorothy's. She wasn't sure it would be big enough for her when she first looked at it. For those of you who remember my Grandma, that's something. (She was a big lady). I wonder how old that dress is; probably 50 yrs old or more.

Granny and Little Red Riding Hood.
Gone Fishing won second place. Very cute!

Birthday Theme. It was Bro. Earl's 50th birthday! He said the best part was seeing all the little kids and having he teens wish him a happy birthday, like he was part of their crowd. (He is)
