You might wonder what these images have in common. Long story…short…I asked Jeff to go to town to pay off the loan on the farm. It was a big milestone and we hoped to get it done before the end of the year. Well, you guessed it, he was in such a rush that he got a big $187 speeding ticket! And….the cop was being nice. Then to add insult to injury, we got this ridiculous letter from the state reminding him to drive carefully and, by the way, he had 6 pts on his license. Oh well, we eventually made the payment and had a lovely ceremonial burning of the payment book in the outdoor fireplace!

Tell Jeff it isn't so bad. Tim has gotten one of those tickets before too. And the fact that I had been saying for the last 30 minutes in the passenger seat, "if you don't slow down you're going to get a ticket" didn't help that situation either.
