Lovin' Guatemala

We’re here!!!! There are a million details to share, but not sure how far I’ll get tonight since we had to get up at 3 a.m. to catch our flight.

As I type, the 3 girls are sprawled out on the king sized bed. AnnaMaria just fell asleep. Claire has had her most of the time, with Lily joining in quite a bit. AnnaMaria is a doll and hasn’t fussed at all. Ollie mostly watches from afar, but we got the first big smile from her just by Ollie saying hello. Jeff thinks she’s fascinated by the freckles! She just gazes at Jeff like she’s loved him forever. She is precious!!!

We’re struggling a bit with the internet, so we’ll try to get some photos posted asap. There are plenty already!

A few quick facts:

4 months old on 2/20
Doctors visit and DNA testing this week – good report from doctor
Family Court meeting was this week also and appears to have gone smoothly
12 lbs, eating a little cereal in formula
Tons of hair, but not so sure she likes hairbows!
Her skin is beautiful.
She is obviously very well cared for and loved by the foster mom and attorney.
Reportedly she sleeps all night. WOOHOO.
Guatemalan people are very friendly.
Area is pretty (mountains, etc); weather great.
Language is a bit of an issue, but we're doing OK.

Thanks for following the saga….more tomorrow.
